Re: rear shock....
Fox shocks are American and fairly popular over there.
That one will need a rebuild for sure but it's possible you could run into trouble over here if it uses an odd spring or has components that aren't common with other brands. It's hard to find someone to work on WP shocks now and they were plentiful in the UK let alone a shock that isn't common.. If you like it though talk to some suspension refurb places and ask if they can rebuild it.
For the price (once imported) you could have a new Nitron.

Re: rear shock....
I think you'd be paying too much £268 plus £100 minimum for rebuild, then shipping costs you could be looking at £4-500.
If it aint broke, get your bloody hands off it!

'revsracing@yahoo.co.uk' did my WP shock. Good service, quick turnaround and a good price.popkat wrote:It's hard to find someone to work on WP shocks now and they were plentiful in the UK let alone a shock that isn't common.

Did it need a spring, the size isn't common and I was told you can't get springs for them.
I might try them if I get round to doing my WP, it works fine at the moment but the rebound adjuster just rotates and doesn't alter damping.

No, there was no need to change the spring but my rebound adjuster was seized. Works luverly now.popkat wrote:KermitLeFrog wrote:'revsracing@yahoo.co.uk' did my WP shock. Re: rear shock....
Malc, I have used revs racing a few times for suspension work, including servicing and changing the spring on an old WP shock. He also does all my mates flat track suspension conversions , and is doing his RD500 forks.. It's a very small set up, but he knows his stuff.

Re: rear shock....
I will have to see if "revs" can do anything for my WP shock. Will need major surgery.
Re: rear shock....
I had WP on a race bike some years ago and these people were excellent;

Re: rear shock....
Both the companies below service Fox MTB shocks. Might be they can help out with finding parts
