Project Blue is basically done for a while.

Will hopefully have this delivered in the next week or so.

300 quid so really cannot complain. Engine issue.

19l tank and updated dash.

Not going the whole hog on it. Just fixing and cleaning. Although looks decent and reasonably well kept.

Not 100 percent on the engine issue at this time but pretty sure. Just cant say too much too soon. Will make sense later.

Ive already picked up a 30000km 19k miles?) Engine....which needs a front head for 120. So I will be using it anyway. Should not take long to be running.

I don't think you'll get the one on Facebook. The vultures are already picking at it. Good luck anyway.

I dunno. I have already had the conversation with him and made an offer...while letting him keep cans and crash bungs....so we will see. If he is paying a garage it will cost 500 plus. He paid 1400 for it. Seems like a good fella. I told him he could fix it himself and it would only cost two valves...manual ccts and a gasket...but he isnt really up for it.
Will know monday

Some of you already know the bike was delivered.

Actually managed to pick up another one with about 400 in extras all for 390 ImageImage

Had to do about 450 Miles around Ireland but definitely worth it.

Anyway decided to see what the deal was with the engine. Decided to take the rear head off. I do not really know why I did. There was a manual on it and an auto on the front but something drew me there.

As you can see...too say it isnt the best is an understatement! 🤣 one intake and one exhaust valve done. One of which has been completely destroyed as has the piston. The engine has 50k on it anyway so replacing it with a 20k one.

Over the bike isnt too bad. Some damage to a fairing and could do with a paint. However I saw an entire front fairing in excellent nick pop up on ebay and got the lot for 100 quid. Couldn't believe it. So that will save respraying most of it.

Plenty to do over the winter before the baby comes in February. At which point I will likely have two storms for saleImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

now that head is nasty... strange the rear with the manual going, or perhaps the manual was put in after hoping it would fix the problem??

Hard to say. The camchain was quite loose to be fair. No manual on the front which I believe is ok. However i haven't really checked. Hoping to get the weekend in the shed
