Hi all
I'm thinking of fitting a 15t front sprocket and wondering if anyone has any idea of how much it makes the speedo over read by.(Bike is a 02 model).I don't really want to fit a cycle computer as it's just one more distraction.
Thanks
Victor
Speed error
Hi Victor,my speedo is 8mph out at 80mph tested with mates xjr1300,and road sign that flashes speed at you,as you aproach it,as it over reads i.e mine shows 88 mph,i have not found it a problem at all, dont think 15 tooth front will be much out as i have 15 tooth front and 44 rear, excelleration is brilliant and leaves all behind, though keeping front down is an art in itself

Wow! bet that can shift
Speed error
Thanks Ian
Sounds like it's about 10% then.Shouldn't be to difficult to ride to,I thought it would be about that.
Anyone with a decent cycle computer that can varify this?

Speedo error
Fitted a 15t front sprocket tonight and the bike feels more responsive in all the gears.Just need to try a gps from work on it to check how far out the speedo is.
