 It might take a while to find my way around this site but I like what I've seen so far. I have to confess that I am not yet a firestorm owner but I've been assured that it will be here Tuesday or Wednesday. In the meantime I have to put up with a 1250 bandit courtesy bike and comfort my poorly ZZR1100 while its fate is being decided. Difficult times but hopefully the new arrival will bring back some smiles. 😊

Yes, I've already been looking at things... CCT's, drain holes and something electronicky. Forewarned is forearmed ! I'm also thinking whether it'd be worth taking the heated grips off the zzr and fitting to the F/S or should I buy new ones.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I used to have a zzr1100 and it is my favourite bike of all I ever owned. You will certainly notice the difference in power and delivery of it.

Is that in a good way ? or am I in for a disappointment ? I do love the zzr but mine used a merc for some additional braking recently and is likely to be written off. The bandit has good brakes but is soooo bland after the zzr. I had a Ducati Darmah once so the v twin thing is familiar to me.

You won't be disappointed as the torque of the vtr makes up for the loss of power. You won't get the rush of the zzr

Well she's arrived, all slutty and slinky in her silvery ness. Took her for a quick blast and yes, it was a blast too. Must check the tyre pressures though as seems quite heavy turning into bends. Mind you, the bandit I've been riding seems far too light.might just be a case of acclimatising.
Sounds and feels like nothing I've ever known before ! 👅

Glad to hear you've got your new bike now
She will take a bit of adjusting to coming from inline fours,

Chris.

were there tears withe the ZZR1100 or was it a bit like Toystory & smiles all round? I have similar news to break to an old steed.

I put a few hot N fast miles on a carb ZZR, made its coolant spurt

Welcome.

Chris.
