Old bike New clocks?

Long time no see guys!

Stu over in Japan.

A buddy just picked up a stolen recovered 1997 VTR really cheap, I have most of the spares to get him on the road, but one thing I don't have is a spare set of clocks.

I bet this has been asked a lot, but can the old bike take a new set of clocks?

There is a set on auction here now (New set).
