Devon storm deferred to 2022?

Post by popkat »

At the moment it's a hope it takes place but due to the nature of sharing chalets we will have to see how covid pans out.. Also I have some health issues (some of you know about it) and I need to wait until early March before I can commit.
I still have deposits/payments from 2020 tucked away safe and just waiting for good news so we can go ahead

Had a msg chat with Malc the other day...

There will be no DevonStorm this year...

Malc isn't in the oppion that sharing chalets is a good idea of if even possible covid wise.

Last year payments are still being held & valid for next year which all being well will be a go.

Shame but that life...

Just to say my bit. I haven't enquired but i think it most probably unlikely we would get a booking for this year now. everywhere around here is booked out as people are holidaying in this country more this year (even out of season most places are all booked) Extra downside to that is there's going to be masses of holiday traffic on the roads of Devon and Cornwall.
Also for this year I really don't think it would be the best idea for us to share chalets, I know vaccines probably cover us all now but they say it can still be carried and passed on, who knows.. Lastly on this bit I have had my own health issues over the last year which means I have to be extra careful, I don't wish to go in to it on here but many of you know anyway.

I got the money back off The holiday site and have it in a bank account, if anyone would like their back you just need to let me know  I'm sure there's a post further up this thread where I said that.

I'm hopeful of booking up for next year, with covid gone or fully under control.

Lastly I will say if the consensus is you would all like to try for this year, I can enquire for you (I don't think it's wise though). I would not be staying at the holiday site but depending on when it is I may ride at least 1 day. but as said I think everywhere is most likely booked.

Malc, I think your choice is correct..... the bit about the traffic with all the Twats that should be in Benidorm is the biggest turn off for me.

keep the money for next year and we will all be in a better place by then

Agree, 22 is fine for me. Let's book for a fortnight!
