Cheers for the best wishes guys. Had a lazy weekend child and dog pack off to granny and grandads for the weekend.
Decided that this morning I was going to get the bike a new Mot.
It has now sat for 5 years in the garage doing nothing due to the fact that parenting and life got in the way.
Didn't do any prep work just decided to phone the local drive in testing centre to let them know I was on the way (just in case plod stopped me) Lucky I did as the camera van was sat at the end of the road.
Anyway off I went in the peeeing rain to travel 15 miles to the station. The roads were slippy as anything with the usual diesel spills on every roundabout. I even managed to accelerate away from a roundabout like a speedway rider (back end hanging out!) I obviously still have it as I managed not to fall off and still had a big smile on my face.
Anyway bike passed with a couple of advisories
Slight bind on back brake and slight fluctuations on front brake.
So after 5 years new fuel in and a new Mot.
Brakes will get a good service over the winter.
So I'm another year older and the bike is also another year older and still roadworthy.
Hopefully I'll be about a bit more.
Yes Kev still working in education mate, back to work next week after being off for 7 weeks.
