It is what it is. I'll have to leave waterproofs out to make room for the big roll and towel.
I've been wet before, nothing dreadful happened.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I can remember that I didn't remember my towel last time we went and there isn't many places to buy a towel in Ho! And that the crap towel I managed to source needs a proper wash cycle before it actually does any drying.

I am hoping bog roll can be sourced locally, but based on above I wouldn't bank on it

I’m bringing the FJ with removable panniers and top box so I’m sure I can fit half a dozen bog rolls if anyone needs one.

The co-op where we source beer & snacks will have bog roll...

We will need to visit Fri eve anyway as Malc has told me the Chilli cook is away for the weekend...So NO Chilli*

So we get food for Friday eve at the coop as well as beer & snacks or go & pay through the nose at a local eatery...

* Might not be a bad thing re fart O'meter readings on friday night....  :Toilet1:

Well the Chinese has been a staple the last few years, I'd vote for that again for the Saturday.

So curry & chink two nights running ... ££££'s

We have already had a vote & NO Feking BBQ is aloud after the disarseter previously...

I'd say for Friday stick to grabbing something from Co-op, each man & lady for themselves re food.

Or pile down the Pier House pub grub & booze.

Sat hit the Chinky & pubs.

Sunday depends whos staying...

Wow we are to honoured with a short firework display on our arrival, I never realised we were all so special 🥳😂

…Actually there’s a wedding on at the pier house and it’s their firework display but I think we can claim it as ours.. Pier house is open as normal.

We do have locally available bog roll, don’t all bring loads, there’s no chilli we don’t need too many 💩

Each chalet has cooker, hob, microwave so easy to cook something up if wanted.

Weather looking good at the moment, let’s hope it stays that way ☀️🌞

I’m down in Shaldon at the moment and have been out on the Transalp over the last couple of days, beautiful weather and the roads haven’t been too busy. Stopped at a place called Union Road Moto Velo in Crediton. Nice little cafe along the lines of the Bike Shed but on a smaller scale. Worth a look if it falls on your route 👍

Warning.. 40mph…

On the A361 the last 15 miles or so approaching Barnstaple the majority of the road is 40mph due to long term road widening. There are cameras so stick to the speed limit and notice when it changes (up and down) Also don’t forget the camera entering Westward Ho.

2 more sleeps, and the weather is looking good.

I have made the decision on bike selection ...... It will be the firestorm :D As it is supposed to be a firestorm weekend, and at least one of us needs to turn up on one.

Plan to take the winding A and B roads through Wales and then cross the bridge to drop onto the M5 to meet Mac and the others at Gordano for lunch on the way down. On the way home I will head onto the B roads in exmoor to get to the M5 then jump across and ride up cheddar gorge before going back across the Severn bridge into Wales.

Looking forward to the weekend, but it's going to be 3 long days in the saddle

Spoke too soon on weather. Saturday will be mixed, but that is good as it might keep the visitors away.
