Rear shock direction

Post by mjvw »

Today YSS Rear shock fitted instruction not great said “fit same as OEM spring removed” so I have …clearance is fine but wanted to check correct positioning as I know some forum members have experience of fitting a YSS.
I have positioned it with the not to be tampered with Allen bolt pointing towards the engine.

It really shouldn't make any difference which way it is mounted.

Make sure you can access the grub screw (sometimes there's 2) on the preload adjuster, if it's out of sight then you can't set it up, and you will need to set the preload.
