Hey all,

Hope you are all having a nice evening.

As above, new to the forum...Hello

New to a VTR. Wanted a V-twin, settled on the Firestorm after looking at SV1000's and the older TL1000's. This one popped up fairly local to me: 1999, 43K miles, good history, well looked after but needs a few things put right (like the 'VTR' stickers!)

...and new to bikes, well motorbikes (always been more of a car guy :silent: ). Passed test four years ago, hired a bike (ER6) from the training centre for two weeks..then a long hiatus, until now. Few guys from work have bikes which reignited my interest. Looking forward to getting more seat time over the coming weeks and months.

Apologies now for any silly and/or obvious questions I ask in the (near) future

Bye for now.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys

Glad you like the bike, not quite as tidy in person as in the pictures but it's doing remarkably well for 22+ years old. Struggling to find time to get out but managed about 200 miles or so over the past few weeks; a different experience from modern inline bikes for sure.

Safe riding.

Quite a brave move jumping on a powerful v twin as a 'beginner' bike - well done who says you can't or shouldn't? Like you, I'm new to the forum so share your reticence about asking obvious questions but they're a great bunch on here (and on the Facebook page) - they'll be sick of me soon! Love tinkering with the bike and the advice and workshop guides on here is brilliant.
