Hawk exhausts

Post by AlmostThere »

Hey,

Has anyone had any experience with Hawk exhausts (offshoot of Pipe Werx)?

The exhausts seem to be well made, come with a lifetime warranty and are a decent price. UK made too which is nice. Was looking for full stainless ovals but there is only one sound clip I can find of them (on YT). They sound lovely but not sure if they are too loud. They say on their website or EBay page, can't remember which, that they come as standard in 380mm sleeve length but could make them longer (up to 450mm), that might quieten them down.

Looking for a deep sound, nothing too loud. Any recommendations if not Hawk?

Thanks

A short can makes it louder but a long can will produce a lower tone. For an example my Akra cans are 480mm

Thanks for the reply.

I measured up the standard silencers and they are around 470mm sleeve length (530mm from start of sleeve to end of tip). I will give them a call next week (they are closed for TT fortnight) and see if they can furnish me with some more dimensions.

Are your Akra cans only a little louder than stock, or quite a bit?
