For anyone reading this in the same situation as me, with off the shelf race brake kit (2 separate lines up front)…

In the end, I swapped back to the long hose to Left, shorter hose Right and I went back to the original Honda bracers mounted on the fork legs too. The P clips were holding it too near the forks and on hard braking, both lines were bending and fouling on everything..

P clips came in useful up top
