Jamie's Storm up for sale...

Post by Jamoi »

Hi all, I hope you're keeping well and enjoying this superb weather?

Just wanted to see if there was any interest in my Storm?

Just a quick background on the bike (the list of mods is huge and i can update the post if anyone requires more info):

Mot until next spring.

Pretty much every mod has been carried out on this bike and includes a lot of special/one off parts.

Has recently had all new fluids and filters, new tyres, clutch, suspension professionally serviced etc etc. It's a dream Storm.

Can't remember the mileage off the top of my head (it's about 35k I think).

Was thinking around £2k?

(Just tried to insert a pic, but it won't let me for some reason).

I can email or message one.

Hey Mr Mac, hope you're well.

I don't ride much these days, so I'm thinning down the collection to just one bike.

I know from time to time, I'll regret selling it, but that's not a good enough reason to keep it.

I'm signed up for Op Storm Wales next year, so I'm not disappearing Image

Lovely well sorted Storm Jamie.
Someone will benefit for all the work you put into it. Good luck with the sale.

You have made one of the best looking Storms there Jamie, its a shame you have to sell it before you can let us see it in the flesh….. hopefully Grumpyfrog buys it back so we can see it at an OP Storm in the future

Cheers guys. It does feel silly to sell it after all the work gone into it. I haven't advertised it anywhere else yet, as I'd rather a forum member has it, rightly or wrongly I think it will be better looked after and there's the possibility I could buy it back in another few years time!

I did offer it up to Grumpy but I think he's happy with his 790 Duke at the mo.

Hi all,

Well, that's it. The Firestorm has found a new home. A local guy (Suffolk) came round this morning and bought it. He owned a Firestorm years ago and is looking to return to biking and spend more time with his brother (who also owns a Firestorm). Hopefully he will join the forum and share any updates on the bike.

Mixed emotions about selling her, but I'd rather it was used and enjoyed regularly. Rather than undercover in my garage.

It has been quite a journey, starting over a decade ago! I've met many superb people along the way, through ownership of the bike. I intend to hang around (sorry about that), but with just the one bike now.

Maybe I'll get another Storm to fettle, or even buy it back in the future. But for now, I'm going to enjoy my new bike - a Gen 3 KTM Superduke R

Thanks to everyone for the advice, parts, favours and laughs.

Hi Jamie. It’s my brother who’s bought it, after I pinged him about it while he was viewing another one!

He’s really stoked about it, as he should be. It’s a fantastic looking bike, with some tasty mods. I’ve just got to see if I can pinch the six spokes for mine! 😂

Glad it’s gone to a good home Jamie. I sold mine it was a tough but right decision and you always remember the fond memories.
