Firestorm Racing

Can any one give me any information on racing a Firestorm, I will be a Intermediate Novice. Catagories, Regulations on machine set up, Tyres, Tuning, ETC.

You might try and get in touch with Robin1000 as he was campaining a strom last year so he might have the info your looking for.

Both you AND Chris are losing it!! :P

Robin1000 is indeed yer man -I have not yet got round to racing due to lack of funds, lack of time and more importantly lack of permission from Mrs Ben!! :lol:

He does a lot of track days but not sure if he acually races it. Robin deff races his though.

Hang on her a minute Ben :!:

You've got a VTR prepared for racing (the one you use for your avatar with the duck face on it) and you have done track days, yes :?:
So you can't tell me your not racing against other bikes on track days :!:
Therefore you are going to have more experience than a road rider only.

OK, here goes
1. Its not race prepared, its my standard road bike with a scruffy fairing and seat unit on it.
Racing requires:
Coolant replaced with plain water
Oil filler, sump, brake bolts drilled and lockwired
Fit proper tyres that haven't been thrown out by someone at Silverstone trackday and then used by me for a further 3 days!!
Remove all indicators
etc etc

2. Never race with other bike -they can't keep up!! :twisted:
