I have now sold my Firestorm, just thought I'd add a few comments. Some will agree, some won't but he goes anyway.
I 've had this bike for 3 years after selling an early CBR600 and loved most of my time on it. The engine is so easy to use and makes riding a pleasure. We all know that the Tank range is pretty bad, the mirrors poor, and the suspension questionable.
I was going to upgrade the Forks and the Shock, I had upgraded the Front brakes, and thought about raising the bars for more comfort, but then I stopped and had a think (it doesn't happen often).
Why was I doing it? After a bit I came to the conclusion that the bike was not what I wanted anymore, and it was time to move on. The Storm has changed little in the past 8 years, and I feel its starting to show its age.
So I sold it today. Honda should have done more.
Its been a brilliant bike but before you go to all the expense of upgrading all sorts, ask yourself is this bike actually what you want.
This site has been very helpful and interesting, good luck to all you Storm owners, I'm off to play on my Z1000.
