corrosion
Corrosion on my VTR does not seem too bad.
All my previous bikes got ridden to death summer and winter parked in the rain outside the house, with a cover on if i got round to it.
The VTR was the first bike really in good enough condition to worry much.
I have a garage now, which makes a big diffence I think.
The lower forks have got grey corrosion marks. Ill probably repaint them in the summer (anyone done this?).
Everything else has held up well.

red is the fastest colour;)
A bike is a bike is a bike: an old proverb I think, or should be
I started out on a MR50 many years ago, had sh1t loads of fun, sometimes wish i had it now, fuel costs around $1.60 per litre ( gbp= 0.56 EUR=0.82 au= $1.36)how does this compare
...( ps mummy did the conversions, I an`t that smart) over here I go to work in the car on average a week a year due to ice( snow, black ice, hail, iceburgs...penguins... etc..).

. as an aside :The new Triumph 600 is in a local dealer, looks brilliant (red) (675 cc correct me if wrong) any opinions

so you've got a pretty good deal on fuel compared to us

I must admit imo if manufacturer's put as much effort (as they do in creating the world's fastest bike) into getting more miles out of a litre without losing out on power, we would have bike now capable of many more miles to the litre, but of course that wouldn't sell bikes

I think the new Triumph's look really good as well, here's a link on one:-

I must say I do love the sound of a three cylinder engine

Cheers,
Chris.
A mate and me took the 675 out a week or so ago as he was thinking of buying one. It needs a loud can as it can only just be heard when moving even if thrashed its a bit quiet. The mirrors are even worse than the storm you cant even see your elbows in them. Its very pretty though. My mate found that he was disappointed with it (he had been waiting for ages to ride it and was really keen as he has a daytona already and saw the 675 at the factory last year and loved the looks) and is probably going to buy a gsxr 750 instead as he prefered the extra grunt.
