Braided lines.

Post by Nick »

Hi chaps.

Hel offer 3 different set ups for the front. Standard set up, 2 lines and one line with a caliper link line running over the front mudguard. Any views out there on which is the best set up or doesn't it matter?

Thanks.

I have been told to go with the two line set up. Some racing orginazations require the two line system if I was told right. The two line system has the least amount of fittings too. I would imagine this means that there is less possibility for a bad fitting introducing air into the brake system.
You know the Austin Powers movies? I have always wanted to date someone like Allota Fagina... but I always seem to date her sister Sandy.

I've tried them all and have done 5+ VTR's with one line to the right caliper then another line between the calipers, it's alot neater and then only one line is moving as the forks compress. When you do it make sure you do it with the front wheel with a front paddock stand and also leave abit of slack for the rebound spring.

If you go for the one line to each caliper from the master cylinder setup then the line to the left caliper is a nightmare to get correct and looks shite.
