Best way to improve an original bike?

Post by Rob »

I have a completely standard '02 plate which I've had from new.

What are the best cheap mods to spice it up and get me grinning again?

K&N filter? Will I need a Dynojet kit & professional setup?

Will changing the cans make a big difference? I fancy some high level ones but want to keep it legal.

Anything else? I'm not looking for BHP here, just more fun......

TIA,

Rob.

Race exhausts. Makes small children cry and women go week at the knees  Also your neighbours will hate you.

Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Best mod for peanuts is a +2 teeth rear sprocket
Lovely lovely lovely

Next up -RC45 throttle tube. Quicker action, feels like someone's added 15bhp

Next, filter and jet kit. More power, more noise and more mpg -result

Don't forget some braided brake lines so she stops proper :)

Oh and the usual, cans, filter and jetting if you feel up to it.

P.S. Some decent rubber always helps.

I'm in the process of buying a K&N and dynojet kit - hopefully a nice price from the U.S.

I quite like the look of the 'Quill' exhausts.

Quote : 'The Quill T3 is the ONLY ROAD LEGAL motorcycle exhaust silencer with RACE CAN PERFORMANCE in the world.'

Or the 'EVO2' - same but with removable baffles....

Anyone any experience of these?

Braided hoses are a good idea, I'll price some up.

Thanks for the replies so far :D

Yep
Straight swap with the standard one (apart from altering the free play nut)
