Mirrors

Post by slim_boy_fat »

Now that the biking season is nearly with us, I am looking into sorting the mirrors on my storm.

Like most people, they tend t show more of my shoulders than anything else.

I know you can purchase extension blocks from smoewhere (can remember where) and the other option is to go for new mirrors with longer stems.

Whats the consensus, who has done what and why???

Cheers

Slim.

i put a set of R1 mirrors on my bike but ..found them to be no better than the storms oem units..in fact vibration makes them useless at 90mph...so i just tuck in them elbows..

I've got the extender blocks from a german firm i think they was, they are an improvement on std but if they are not bolted down tight they ampilfy and vibrations. they do look a little strange as they are a lump of plastic the same shape as the the mirror end that bolts to the fairing but over an inch thick.

Thanks have you got any pics?

What an effort to try and see behind you eh!!

I wonder if there are any after market mirros and stalks that could bolt onto the origional mounts.

I need to have a look at the Deemon Tweeks catalogue tonight.

The german firm are THURN motorsport. I got my mirror extenders from them last year and they are excellent, no blurring problems.

Thanks

More importantly i have got to get myself some hi level cans

I have standard Scorpian s/s cans sound good, but look a bit plain.

The ones on your bike are very smart, what type are they?

I quite fancy carbon ones, had a carbon can on my previous VFR and it was very nice.

Cheers.

They are ART road legal with removable baffles with the high kit.

Unfortunatley ART went bust last year though the cans are often on fleabay
