Looking at 99 Firestorm advice seeked

Post by edge »

Hi I'm looking currently at a Firestorm in a dealers in my area, it's quite an old bike, (99) but I would say its been well looked after, its got F/S/H and has had 4 owners, with 23 thou on the clock, what sort of price should I expect to pay for this type of machine through a dealer.
Also, (have had much experience with other bikes) what sort of mileage if looked after, should I expect a Firestorm to comfortabl;y cope with, before it might be deemed to be getting a little "long in the tooth" 8O

dunno about being long in the tooth mate, as far as i know as long as you look after it they are pretty much bomb proof. im sure some oone will come along with some figures.

i would be looking in paying just over £2500 for such a bike ,that would be a realistic price ,but its a dealer and they want to get as much money they can  its how desperate you want it and how much you got to spend , ive just seen a 01 for £2800, at a dealers :D

I seem to remember reading the engine was designed to last eighty thousand miles before it should need any major attention.
Mind you, Honda never said how many cct's it might need in that time
