rectifier Fault

Post by appledell »

The headlight does not seem to get brighter when the engine is revved. I have the bike connected to an optimate so it starts ok. I have an inforad speed cam detector which craps out after about an hour (loses sat lock). Just wondering if rectifier is goosed?? :?

Had the same thing on mine, rectum frier had gone and needed replacing!

If you have the owners manual (you can download it, see sticky on top of this forum) then theres a chart where by you can test it. Obviously you need a multimeter!

Also check the CDI as they can go at the same time! O and obviously check your fuses. (im sure ben or someone will be able to shed more light....)
