Exhaust guards ?

Post by Wroey »

Very new to the site, so appoligies if this subject has previously been raised.

Im the proud owner of a 2005 SP2 but have found that the exhausts are begining to mark from where the heat slightly melts the rear of my boots when contact is made.

The problem isnt that bad for me at present, but have noticed it on a few second-hand SP1/SP2's where the problem is alot worse.

Have searched high & low for a company that produces exhaust guards for the SP2 but to no avail.

Any suggestions on how to avoid this problem or places that sell exhaust guards please ?

Thanks

Ahhh brilliant, thanks for that !

Im also getting marks on the connector pipe between the header and the can, just where your boots sometimes rub behind the foot peg .... Any idea who makes guards for there ?

I appreciate i cant keep it spotless, but it seems a shame to have these dirty big black marks on the pipes.

I've used RG protectors. (not on a SP2 though)

Actuall got mine from their stand at Oulten Park BSB meeting.

Highly recommended.
