looking to buy one for the bike for 12 months.

any reccomendations?

My recommendation would be not to bother. That's only form my experience with any form of warranty in that I firmly believe they aren't worth the paper they're written on.

The only time they serve any purpose is if you buy a new bike and there are any recalls done by the factory that are fixed under manufacturers warranty.

I've found anything that a 3rd party warranty would fix is usally better being done properly and less expensively yourself. E.g if you got a warranty that would actually cover a CCT fail, it'll only cover replacement with Honda ones and not even necessarily brand new ones.

Not saying don't get one (though I personally wouldnt) but just to check very very carefully exactly what is covered and what happens if you claim on it.

As for the cct it would only cover the broken cct and not the rest of the damage caused to the engine

Logically, these type of warranties are on average a money loser. Thats 'cus they are just a straight insurance policy. The insurer is always going to make a big profit, which is built into the price.

But then if you want that sort of peace of mind.......
