Scottish borders is always a good place for a run, but htey now have a couple of unmarked pan euros roaming about. Not quite so friendly now.cubicincubi wrote:does the forum flock of vtr fans meet up at all in the north?

I gather it was in response to the large number of bikers (mostly from the south of Englad / Wales coming up for a blast under the impression there was no police activity in the area (which there wasnt!!) but a few complaints from the local communities have put paid to it. Shame cause there are some great roads.
I think the Lake district is pretty similar these days too, safety camera partnerships etc...
Maybe a meeting and a run with a prize for who can stick to the speed limits!!!
It's here.........
i just had a day in the lakes yesterday and i vote for a north west meet there
did some great roads and some great tracks( hardknot pass and wryno(sp) pass)
perhaps it was the roads i was on but i never saw a police car or speed camera all day and i did 465 miles door to door also never saw any of the rain that everyone else seemed to get![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

I was thinking maybe Stratford upon Avon so some of the southern guys can head up that way.
I've visited Stratford a few times.. but not sure what there is to do on an evening? daytime... just laze about by the side of the river.. as long as it's nice and sunny... but doubt we'll get much of that in September/October.
i'd really love to do another Bo'ness meet tho.
