is it the dreaded cct

morning all,

i heard a clatter from my bike at tickover yesterday, came from the left hand side just under the tank.

is it the cam chain tensioners that i have heard so much about, (i might be getting paranoid about them)

what happens if it is?

what do i need to do to fix it, how big a job isit?

can it all go disastrously wrong in the next 100 miles or so? what would actually happen ?

Just had one go myself. Put the timing out a few degrees where the cam chain jumped and now I've got a dinked piston and two bent inlet valves!

Unless your brave ( or rich) I wouldn't dare risk it. Get it changed.
