I have a wee niggle with my new VTR Firestorm. The fuel light flickers constantly on the dash regardless of how much fuel is in the tank. Now I know that there may be some sort of sensor or sender unit like there is in a car but what I am wondering is how easy/expensive it is to change?
What's involved?

More likely to be a contacts problem with the wiring
(I had a similar problem after test fitting my datatool rev-light thingy, it flickered over 6000 revs!! [:?])
To test the sender, lift up the tank and you will see it.
Disconnect the 2 wires and get a multimeter across the terminals
If you get a constant value, its unlike to be this
