All - I just bought a 2001 Superhawk, with only 4,500 miles on the clock, last week. I'm over the moon. It really is like the perfect Ducati without annoying expensive wtf Ducati issues.
I'm going to have the fluids changed and have a set of braided stainless brake lines installed, but that's about it.
I've noticed the suspension seems good, but not all that good. A little too stiff, and a lot of fork chatter in fast bumpy turns. However, my other bike is a KTM Duke which has absolutely outstanding suspension, and I fear I've been spoiled. So my question is, is the Honda that bad, or is the Duke that good? Or, is it a little of both?
And what is current thinking on what to do about improving suspension bits? I only weigh 160# and I've heard that a correctly set up stock S'Hawk should be fine for someone my weight. Any advice on suspension settings?

As Kaz said the front forks are on the soft side, but the rear shock spring is completely the opposite too hard, I'm only guessing that you are talking about the standard Honda suspension
I wouldn't have thought the forks to be too bad for you considering your weight, I would suggest however that the spring on the rear shock to be set on the lowest setting. I'll leave the rest of the set up to someone who is nearer to your weight
