My Retro bike got more Retro

Post by robnobrakes »

A cheap Ebay buy. The pre-1963 numberplate does the trick for me.

I do like the thruxton, if you could only have one bike would you choose it or the VTR? Like the pic's keep them comming.

Difficult to answer as I love both bikes, but I think I would forgo the extra performance the VTR offers for the looks, old-world character and fun handling of the Thruxton.

I bought the plate 'on retention' off Ebay for an all in price of £475.00 (no £80.00 transfer fee as the seller had already paid this). I have re-registered the bike with the DVLA. I wanted an old plate for the old style Thruxton. I have seen similar NJS plates with 3 numbers for sale at around £2,000.00!!!!!! plus the transfer fee.

Love it, Gorgeous.
If I could afford a second bike that's just the sort of thing I'd go for
