pyramid huggers

Post by stevevtr1 »

Hi ,my first post here,so here goes!
just bought a pyramid hugger for my 'storm, looks great, fits well-but in the instructions it says to use the oe chain guard over the l/h fittings on the the hugger .Problem is i only have half the oe guard ,as the hugger i replaced, sat over it & the previous owner cut it back.
My question is has anyone fit one of these with anything else other than the oe guard ,i reckon this would look naff sat on the side of the new hugger.saw a stainless "vtr"cut out chainguard on ebay,do these fit with the hugger?

looking at it again ,i guess the oe chainguard just covers the last 150mm of exposed chain before the engin casing .
Rincewind, does the cain guard bit of you hugger follow the chain line? mine runs off about the width of the chain at the rear sprocket.
