Hi

I've just put a (refundable) deposit down on a '52 firestorm, I'm going for a test ride on Friday. Trading in my Fazer 600 (great bike, first bike).
What should I be looking for when testing, bike is only 9 months old.
Am I doing the right thing? Always liked the look of the Firestorm but quite new to riding, any useful advice would be appreciated.
Only thing I would want to add to the bike is a grabrail for the missus, which is the best to go for?

Look forward to spending some time on the site

You're gonna love it and have absolutely no regrets you bought it. To me, the Storm is a '10' on the fun scale. I think you'll find most here agree.

Congratulations,
Scott

Forget the grab rail, just get her to put her arms round you and place the palms of her hand on the petrol tank.
She will be able to grip you with her forarms when you are on the gas, and brace on the tank for braking.
If she does this you will hardly know she is on the back.
With a grab rail she will be to up right and to far back.

I used to use one of those pillion pall things ( belt with handles on either side ) and it seemed to work a treat.
