been thu a few posts from the past.
my storm is going to be tidied up, got some original cans at a good price to swap the scuffed ones. now for the body work..
currently the bike is black 1997 year, one side is oversprayed from a yellow one the other side is /was a red one. (stone chip giveaway)
I thought instead of looking (all the time) on ebay for a full set of black replacements I remember someone doing a conversion to a Fireblade full fairing,
is it easy, much bracketry needed? which year us best, (my early blade was a pain if you dropped the key when taking it out of the ignition);
thoughts or hints please.
I have seen the Italian one but no mention of price, did anyone find out??
full fairing or blade conversion
Marlbroman is currently doing this conversion and looking very ggod indeed also Jay B completed one.
Its the foxeye blade fairings,as far as i am aware you need to alter the front fairing bracket to allow the blade headlight to mount properly and make some small brackets for the fairings to bolt to frame/engine wherever needed.Check his thread out here under sp1 bodywork!!!
