temperature gauge

temperature gauge

While working on the bike today i noticed the temperature gauge was right round past the H level.It was fine yesterday while i had the engine running,anyone have any idea whats going on?
If it ain't broke,fiddle with it!

are you saying its reading hot while the engines off??????

Im assuming youve checked all connections again? I think theres a mutlimeter test you can do with them in the haynes manual, i can have a look if you dont have one?

Looks like your picking up a live (+) from somewhere, not even a failed sender would send the needle past the H or in the RED.

Don't know what the f##k is going on but went out today and the gauge is working fine,don't you just love a mystery!!!!!

It could be a crappy earth connection

Give all the connectors and the looms a tug and see if you can reproduce it.

Maybe yours is stuck on back to front so the H is where the C should be.

Or does "H" stand for "cold" in Glengormley?
