Calling All 15T-43T Sprocketees
Hey guys,
I've just finished putting on a new chain. Decided to go with the 15 Front, 43 Rear tooth combo. Standard x-ring chain. Seems to be a popular choice on this forum.
Now I am just wondering could I have got away with removing another link from the chain. If I look at the rear axle adjuster, there a gap of about 1.5cm to the front of the axle. I am wondering if I removed a link, would I run out of space by pushing the axle forward? If what I am saying makes no sense at all, I will post a few pics. Its fine at the moment, but as the chain stretches I might hit the most rear setting that the axle will go when adjusting it in future.
Cheers!

Wow!! Just took the bike out for its first spin with the new ratio. Acceleration is fantastic... love that new smooth feeling with a new chain. The first handful of throttle I gave it had me fishtail on a slippy road!! Did get get any front wheel lift, but roads not really the best at the mo - muck everywhere!!
A highly recommended mod!!
Squiffy - I will do just that - if I get to the max adjustment, I will take a link out and move it back...

Cheers guys
Was bored... !
As for the lights Chris, I was mucking around with these a while back - I added them for extra visibility... Do a lot of filtering so figured I might as well. I have a switch for them but I also hooked it up to the 'passing' switch which meant I could give lane hoggers a good old flash if they were holding me up on the motorway
They also come on when full beams are on so a bit more light than from the standard headlight. (Excuse the state of the bike - its filthy! A rare occurence
)

Cheers for the pic's Pmcq. The light's are smaller than I had expected and therefore don't look that much out of place IMO
Night time vision must be well improved
I see you've now added another pic to your signature, that one I do remember, well apart from the extra large can's and tail fins that is
Chris.

Hey Squiffy - I just picked them up in a motor factors actually. Then I just bought a relay and some wire and some rubber tubing to route the wires past the engine. I must do up a wiring diagram for this! I actually fitted a second relay so that when the passing switch is pressed they come on. That relay is mounted in behind the speedo.
The lights themselves are mounted onto some small brackets I made. These are attached to the rad mounts and as they are hollow and you can put a bolt up through it.
Hey Chris - that last pic on my sig I like to think of as the dune-buggy mod.
