Kinross is just up the road

Post by OldBob »

Hi Guys... Yep another Scottish Stormer.

I'm in Alloa, which isn't that far from Kinross. I'm usually up for a run and willing to try to keep up with most people.

Wanna go for a run, gimmie a shout.

Hey there fellow jock stormers im up in northern aberdeenshire which is not to faraway unfortunatly my storm is to not well at the moment due to a car bike interface but i hope to have it back on the road in the not to distant future
in the meantime i will be taking the car to the bike racing at jockhill this sunday so if i see any storms i will tell them to get on line & we can arrange a north storm meet.

my mods apart from the missing bodywork are, a rear penske, front end rodgered carbon hugger undertray pyrimid lowers remus high level cans
k&n filter, & i am thinking of paying rodger at revalution a visit to get the suspenders looked at after my off & to set the bike up on the dyno

Hi StormTrooper... CarBike Interface. sounds painful, almost had one of them a couple of weeks ago myself. Gave her an earful right enough, how can you miss a bright yellow storm with Remus (Loud) cans.

Knockhill this w/end? What's happenin there, I've been so busy I've totally lost track of stuff there.

My bike is standard except for the cans, I'm toying with the idea of the spacer at the back shock, as last w/end, the damd thing just wouldn't turn fast enough. front end... umm who is "Rodger at revalution "? maybe he could help, and what kinda fee does he look for?

I could do with some serious brakes though :? mine are "lever meet bar" stuff, and the damd things just been serviced.

box drivers are just twats always to busy on the phone or listening to music to notice whats happening around them,,,& my car bike interface wasnt to sore, unfortunatly the bike bore the brunt, i just did a nice forward roll clean over it back onto the road.
(i think i could be stunt man material) or mabee im just lucky!!
there is scottish kdmcc bike racing on at knockhill this weekend all classs-125,250,400,600,1000, side cars & classics. practice sat afternoon
racing sunday, worth going to see.check out knockhills web site for details.

rodger is the vtr man :cool2 his work is not to cheap.. but if you look though some other posts & on any other vtr site he is the guy for tuning & suspension.. price is around £199 for front end & £490 for back end & its then suspension sorted.
as to improve your brakes, have you tried tying your front lever down in the on position overnight & this helps...

Damd... just remembered ... I married someone a few years back (lost count), and now she expects a w/end somewhere nice (this w/end)

Somehow, I don't think Knockhill would cut it, but I'd love to go... bah

I'm up for runs Sat/Sun depending on how far we wanna travel.

Thanks for the suspension and brake tips trooper... I give it a shot and see what happens.
