The boy in blue (or yellow) doesn't seem to be in too much of a hurry - unlike the girl!

Poor bloody guy on the bike. Sort of thing can happen any time and you'd not know until you were skating down the road on your butt with several broken limbs.

Scary.

I agree JL.
The policeMAN just seems to amble along doesn't he? Mind you he might be thinking what's about to follow in that could also injure him.

Incident occurs at 9 seconds on the counter. Looks very Honda yellow/Firestorm like 8O

I saw this a couple of months ago on an advanced bike club's sight.

There was a news article on it about how the rider was relativly uninjured but does not want to ride again.

It also observed that the bike had moved from the middle lane slowing down to stop in the layby. It also suggest that the car was driving at a safe distance from the car in front of it abd the rider changed lanes and braked into this "safe" gap giving the driver no chance of stopping.

Some of these observations were taken from the police report.

Watch it a couple of times!

Rider error!

That makes a bit more sense Fireman! Your explanation makes me feel a bit safer!

Yeah, but what did the biker say re. these observations? Did he agree he was at fault?

Still horrible eh but thanks for clearing the position up so to speak!

What the heck went wrong with the "biker hits brick wall" one??? (apart from the hitting the brick wall bit, obviously... ) He's lucky he didn't go over!
If you ate yourself would you become twice as big or simply disappear?

Ouch....
Feels harsh to say Rider error , but I couldnt see either signals or a lifesaver before he got clipped :?:

Either way...could have been a lot worse

What ever happened definitely not good :!: It just goes to show how easy that happened :!:

As for the biker hitting the wall VTRgirl, who knows what happened there, as you mentioned he was very lucky not to go over the wall :!:

I also just noticed that the MPV that hits the biker has its bonnet fly back and now presumably the driver is completely unsighted so hence his lane change after the incident etc

Anyone else agree?

harsh but totally the bikers fault.

100% without a doubt looking at that vid. it did look to me like a gsxf or somethin rather than a vfr800

Yes, it does look like the bonet flew up :!:

This is what it looks like to me, the biker had only just looked in his left mirror and the vechicle that hit him was in his blind spot :!:

Why are VFR 800 mirrors as bad as std 'Storm ones then? 8O

That'd all make sense of it!!!!!!

I think it was a GSXF as well.
I also think the main point is not who's fault it was but remebering your never going to win if you tangle with a car. It won't do you any good shouting from a hospital bed "But I had right of way" or something like that (or even worse, written on your head stone 8O ).
Rule No 1. Look after No 1
