Wibble wobble
Wibble wobble
riding home from work this evening i noticed that when leaned into a corner the front wobbled from side to side like a minuscule tankslapper! proper put the wind up me i can tell you .and it did it on left and rights. i had thumper change the bent rogered forks. for a replacement set i bought from ebay .and they are straight..i just wondered if anyone had any clues?? when funds allow im going to change the internals for rogers ones. but meantime i'd be obliged for some input!

Marty i would check for play in the head stock if you can get the front wheel off the ground while someone grabs the forks to check for play or if you have a front stand that uses the stock. It might be that the castleated nut needs a further turn to tighten everything up then torque the top yoke nut.If the bearings are shagged in the head stock i would image you will hear loads of grinding when turning the bars when the wheel is off the ground.
But i agree with everyone elses comments (front wheel bearing, front axle tight, headrace bearings, check all front end bolts incase somethings come loose,is your front wheel true?tyre pressure etc etc

Alan m8 new tyres.. new front axle, a nearly new front wheel [from dunk]
no noise from the head stock..ill take a lift in with the Mrs till i can get the front end bolts and nuts checked....as ive only got a rear stand and its dark up here till 7:30 am and im at work by then..

Fingers crossed its not this mate
But if you've had a front end impact there's a possibility the bearing race has gone oval
Alternatively it might just be that the headrace bearings were damaged
I'd be inclined to point the finger there rather than at the wheel/tyre coz you'd feel that in a straight line too
Also, the head bearing can be a git to get torqued right so check thats been done properly
