Wiring loom vtr storm

Post by streetf2 »

does anyone have any pics of the wirring loom on the bike where it passes along side the carbs on the left and inside the frame. More important is the route it takes as it passes through the frame and is it under or over the plastic shield.I have started installing the loom on my bike after re build and from my pics it appears to go under the sheild but that takes it close to the engine.Allthough the pics i took dont really show me where it should go they do tell me it dont go where i thought. Please can anyone help.

I think it goes in beside the thermostat and then on up the inside right of the subframe.

you will have a cable that goes left to earth on the engine and another that goes to your coil,i think thats right. :?
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it!

cheers it would appear that my loom had already been moved before i started work as it was allready up behind main frame spar well before thermostat i think this is because there was no fairing on when i got it and it is on show, but it was for some reason running behind main spar all way along no where near as low or even out of frame. didnt think it looked a very good route when putting it back even tho i was sure thats where it was. Thanks for pics very helpfull, will just have to find my own best route now as with no fairing i would also like to hide these .But i know this is cheeky but a pic just in front of left rad of the looms position as it goes round the head stock would be great.
