Full Exhaust Systems

Post by Sham »

Chaps,

I'm thinking of getting a full system on my 'Storm.
I know this is gonna cost me a fair wallop of dosh if I do it so I want to know if it's at all worth while or if I should just make do with the aftermarket end cans.

Anyone loony enough to get a full system?
How much wonga did you fork out??

Ta

I brought my storm with a full system on it already, high level remus oval cans makes an amazing sound when opened up and gave good power increase with dynojet an k&n.

Hiya, I had a standard system, but wiyh Ixil endcans set up on a dyno with a Dynojet kit & k&N filter fitted, was great, have just changed system for a full Yoshi with stainless headers & carbon cans, other than that, the same setup...... & woweee... worth every penny!...much faster pickup off the throttle & vastly improved midrange!!.. feels like a race-bike in comparison!... not been re-dyno'd but would be interesting!

Just Do it!

I just changed from the Wolf undertail (now for sale) to the Two Brothers slip-ons. I mention this because Two Brothers sells the headers separately to make the slip-ons a full system.

If you are on a budget, like me, this is perfect. Start with the slip-ons first, and when you can afford it, buy the headers and you have a full system!

And, I suspect the Two Brothers headers could be fitted to ANY slip-ons, makeing that a full system too.
You know the Austin Powers movies? I have always wanted to date someone like Allota Fagina... but I always seem to date her sister Sandy.

i have high level remus titaniums & k&n only difference i have noticed is the noise dont know if it makes more power or not.

i was thinking of swapping the high level cans out for low level ones
as i can then use my throwovers.

Ok, so I understand thar the cans make a difference to power, but how doe's changing the headers ulta anything? Are you talking a bigger diameter pipe or what?

Apparantly the Firestorm headers are heavily restricted due to noise and emission laws, I would suspect changing them for a full system would vastly improve the power and sound. :D

I have been considering separating the pipes, to improve the sound. Instead of 2 into 1 into 2 as with the standard system. Some of the after market items are made separate,.. and sound excellent.(like sp1 or 2). I will have front pipes the same small size to retain a little torque. :)
