Just spoke to "dunstan" @motorcycle surgery( highly recommended here )

http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4842

about putting my bike in for the cct's........he advised i have 2 options......

a) replace the cct's with honda ones.

b) he will modify the cct's to make them manual

the first option is the most expensive as you will need to purchase the cct's.....he advised me that the second option is just as viable if not better as long as i dont mind not having genuine parts.

The latter is the option i went for......reckons its only gonna cost me £100 :D .....ride in morning, out in afternoon.....will keep u all posted as to how i get on...VeetyR ( john'o )

Further to this post i have had my CCT's converted by "dunstan"(see above)

He is a friendly chap, reasonably priced and knows what he is talking about..... converted my cct's to manuals and checked the timing for £120.

He also said he only would charge around £130 for a basic service.(with stamp)

The ticking i heard in my engine has now gone and its running very smoothly......

If u are london based i highly reccomend him.
