As far as I know there isn't a quick way of removing the headlamp :!: You will need to remove the fairing anyway, so if you remove the remains of the bulb (the metal part) you should be able to turn the fairing up (without removing the headlamp from the fairing) so the bits of broken glass fall out from there, just make sure you don't drop the fairing when trying to shake the glass out :!:

Cheers,

Chris.

yup, if i remember rightly you can remove the mirrors, indicators and the plug on the back of the headlight, then take out all the fairing holding on screws and it will all come off in a oner with the headlight in place.

No easy one here i dont think, it forms part of the fairing from within.
You can take off the fairing in one lump though.
Mirrors off, bolts in side panels out, disconnect indicator wires, and there are a couple of anti rattle plastic screw jobbies on the bottom of the side panels also.
Then standing in front of the bike hold the side panels and draw foreward.
This is where having a mate helps as he (or she ..sorry ) can disconnect the connections to the head light and the little side light on the front.

It sounds bad but its pretty easy, i had to do it about 2 months ago when my tw@ of a brother in law reversed into my bike in his council transit....Richard !

You then can remove the headlamp from the fairing or its light enough you could shake the glass out with it in place ?
Just dont drop it !! 8O

Ditto Big teve reply - all comes off in one lump and you can take the headlamp out from there. Take care with the anti rattle fiitings - pain in the butt and over a £1 each! I've substituted the plastic screws for some metal ones.
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

I've substituted my anti-rattle screws for some fresh air

Been like it for 4 years without a problem

As that is the most pain in the butt bit of removing/ refitting the fairing it now comes off in under 5 mins
I've got an inferiority complex
But its not a very good one!
