head lamp removal/fitting

As far as I know there isn't a quick way of removing the headlamp
You will need to remove the fairing anyway, so if you remove the remains of the bulb (the metal part) you should be able to turn the fairing up (without removing the headlamp from the fairing) so the bits of broken glass fall out from there, just make sure you don't drop the fairing when trying to shake the glass out
Cheers,
Chris.

No easy one here i dont think, it forms part of the fairing from within.
You can take off the fairing in one lump though.
Mirrors off, bolts in side panels out, disconnect indicator wires, and there are a couple of anti rattle plastic screw jobbies on the bottom of the side panels also.
Then standing in front of the bike hold the side panels and draw foreward.
This is where having a mate helps as he (or she ..sorry ) can disconnect the connections to the head light and the little side light on the front.
It sounds bad but its pretty easy, i had to do it about 2 months ago when my tw@ of a brother in law reversed into my bike in his council transit....Richard !
You then can remove the headlamp from the fairing or its light enough you could shake the glass out with it in place ?
Just dont drop it !!

thanks for the advise guys
i took the fairing off in one lump had a bad shock tell you more in a mo well i took the head lamp off to have a look and found that there was a puddle of water in there, i looked at it and the right hand side of the dam thing was cracked n had 2 small breaks in it so i looked at it poured the water out n a load of the glass came out with it so i managed to get a rag inside and cleaned the reflector off and then looked at the bike no this is where my heart sank
the right hand radiator was held on with a cable tie looking at the bike its been lobbed down the road small scratch on the fuel tank thats been touched up the radiator has a broken top mount and there is a different datatag on the right hand fairing so i got an m4 drill tap and drill taped the mount with the wireing on thats behind the radiator (moved wiring first) and drilled the radiator mount and screwed the brackets together now its fixed and doesnt move where i work we use this black panel bonder so i gunked up the holes in the head lamp now thats better water proofed well
this panel bond can glue steel plates and water tight joints on that well i have had the bike i week and i do like it loads its a pity i wasnt told by the dealers that it was damaged and i should have asked where it has been in an accident stupid me
