Alan,
Both look absolutely awesome! :D
But if I had to choose I think the 8 spoke look better.

Both look good, but if I'm to be honest I preferred the 5 spoke. Looks less like something a spider made and well, err the five looks more, umm brutal. I think the five shows off the swinging arm better too. Why? Just MHO that's all.

5, 8) 8 look's scrawny and might snap if you hit a matchstick.
I HATE IT WHEN I HAVE TO PUT IT AWAY........

I'd say the 8, but only if it had the paint stripped off like the 5.

Thanks for you ops guys, i really do prefer the 8, Cuppa i had the wheel completely stripped but the spokes have that rough texture to them like the 5 spoke has in the internal part of the wheel or the storms frame and i had to match the rear with the front paint.

Intresting LSM you say brutal i never looked at like that anyway its on ebay now along with some other stuff. I do spend alot of time just looking at it trying to come up with something else hopefully i'll get to ride it this year.

Hmmm, what about some nice color matched Tomohawk tyres? :D

FWIW, I too prefer the 5 spoke
But it may well be coz I prefer the color of the inner.

Still, wouldn't kick either out of bed for farting :)

But its not a very good one!

I prefer the 5 too.

The 8 is too many for my taste. I'd go for 3 myself as I like minimalist wheels, especially if you're showing them off with a single sider.

Alan,
After all the hassle you've had with your new wheel you're probably not going to appreciate my opinion, but do remember it is only my opinion and I am being honest :!:

I personally prefer the 5 spoke out of the two, but (as Kitch) a 3 spoke is my favourite.

Cheers,

Chris.

Thanks everyone for your comments i do appreciate the feedback as for the wheels well i nearly had a 3 spoke Ducati 916 wheel but the guy on ebay pissed me about also i would need to do further mods to the VFR hub and a Ducati hub ie cut the vfr hub and the Duke hub then weld them together but as the sun is starting to shine and my leathers are jumping out the wardrobe at me the 3 spoke can go on hold.

At the end of the day Alan, if you're happy with what you've got then that is all that matters :!:

Taste's (as we've found out before on here) are a personal thing and they will always vary

Cheers,

Chris.
