Looking for a racing exhaust

Post by rowingdude »

Hey mates, I hope this isn't a "toolish" question, being my first post, and all.. but.. I have a '00 Superhawk. I love the way it rides, I have heard some racing exhaust on Ducatis and since our motors are also V-Twin, I assume they can sound just as good.

Anyone know where I might come across a full exhaust system? I am no stranger to carb tuning my last bike was a Kawi 250.. so yeah.

Thanks!

Well, I can't find a full system. It has Yoshi slip ons on it now, but I have read that aftermarket systems give it ~7bph across the board. I was hoping to find information pertaining to a seller of said systems

If you're looking to get a full system, try and get one with tapered headers
These are crucial for V-twin power as they greatly improve scavenging

For the best advice, phone or email Roger at Revolution

His website has this to say
Let your bike breath!

Give yourself an immediate injection of speed and a let them know you’re coming with a fitted full exhaust system. Revolution selects the best system for the particular engine. Not one manufacturer is necessarily the best for all engines. We have a close relationship with Moriwaki who have a very specific selection of exhausts tailored to the engine characteristics. We advocate these systems against the best in the world and would challenge any other manufacturer on figures.
For systems that Moriwaki don’t supply we select from a small group of well proven manufacturers.

I've got an inferiority complex
But its not a very good one!
