Is the UK/Scotland worth moving to?

what brings you to our fair shores?
i'm from paisley. just moved up to aberdeen earlier this year. you are close to some of the best roads in the uk for going out on with a bike...the west coast has been known to be a bit on the wet side though...lol. glasgow has the reputation for damp weather, but its not all that bad, just rains about half the year. . as far as housing goes, its the same all over, good and bad areas are mixed in together, house prices are on the rise in these areas but not as high as some other parts of the uk.

Why does everybody always think the grass is greener? IT ISNT!! It is just a slightly different shade of green and stains just the same.

well my wife is a texan and she is a nurse in a small town hospital and good nurses are had to find and i have had some elderly patients say to me plz dont steal her away and i promised a person who died 2 weeks later not to steal her, she makes a difference in her commuinity there, also i have made a lot off good friends that counters 1 mr bush also its cheaper in the long run to move than it is to keep flying its 16 hours from start to finish

well, I was looking at it because we have a bit of heritage and I wanted to live around the world. The ability to take weekend trips to the mainland (Europe) would have been another selling point. Specifically though, I wanted to live in Scotland/UK because (a) My French sucks and (b) I do not know either Norwegian or Swedish.
