Hmm... OK. Here is another example. Taking 350+ km rideout on suzuki DR800. Oh, vibey, slow, etc. etc. (but very easy to chuck into tight corner). Coming back. Checking time it took. Ooops. Exactly same it takes me on VTR. Hmmmm. Strange.
Getting back on VTR. Oh, that's fast. Oh, it's so small! And handlebars position so narrow! Howe the hell did I manage to take corners on THAT???
Then quick blast on mate's Blade. Hmmm. Quite fast but feels like electric motor - no grunty punch. Ooops, need different technique.
Etc..... Happens to me all the time - I got now 4 "working" bikes in my garage and all of them completely different (not all mine

) - VTR, DR800, CBR600, Transalp.
Here is what I think: not sure how long you've spent on GSXR, but I found that every type of engine need to have different technique adopted to enjoy it full time - may be you simply forgot a bit how to get a "bang" from twin ?

BTW - I spoke to happy owner of brand-new Ducati 1098 (or is is 1089?). He is coming from GSXR too. His impressions exactly the same and he was dissapointed at first (thou in fact new Duc got gobs of power) until he started to watch speeds he's going at. He said that only then he realised how much power that thing had.
