Paint or not to have painted?

Post by Beast »

Right chaps, i need your opinion.
I just can not make up my mind!

Grabbed the red vtr cheap last december, call it a pressie to myself. :)
Too me it just looks to red, but i want to keep the full belly pan.
I've had a play in photoshop but nah, still cant decide. :)

Help me make my mind up:
Keep it Red?
Paint it Black?
or...
Paint it Matt Black?

If i do go the black route, shall i have the rear hugger go the same colour?

Cheers. :)

IMHO a couple of those tank 'FireStorm' badges along the bellypan would break up that 'full red' look and be really good but each to their own eh?

Losing the nasty red ring on the tyres would probably help too....

Rattler.
Now I like the 'ring' (ooh err missus) as it breaks up the all black wheel/tyre combination

I agree with LSM. The fairing lowers on my SV looked a bit plain jane in silver, but a couple of big Suzuki stickers broke it up nicely. Oh and the cans looked bland until replaced with a couple of flame titaniums

Lose the red screen first, it looks fiddler.

Cheers for the comments chaps.
Well, thinking of taking the pyramid black hugger off the other one and fitting it to the red one.
Belly pan might go matt black then, don't like plastering stickers everywhere. :)
The red strip around the wheels do look a little pants, will have a look tomorrow to see how easily it comes off, dont want to take the paint off.
The red screen will go, have a dark double bubble. :)

Or... how about the new paint job... LOL. :)

Isn't photoshop great when trialling different colour schemes. :)

Would be if I knew how to use it  - Windows XP has Photo Image I think its called and I cant work that either :(

IMHO - I would go for the Black Hugger and Bellypan to match - Keep the rim tape - I'm getting to quite like mine now..

Or...........Keep it Red in the main but go for a spray job on the wheels :?:

now that one looks s-w-e-e-t
if you just paint the bellypan black, the curved join would look odd, but painting a straight black lower line looks WAY better
I've got an inferiority complex
But its not a very good one!
