on the rd again

Post by balls »

After my starting problems I am now back on the road again at last .
New battery is in and getting 14.6 volts from rec/reg, and 14.3 with lights on, Have armed myself with R1 reg/rec just in case and will be taking the old multimeter with me to see if its playing up when hot.
When fitting a new screen will I have to slacken off the mirrors to fit it ?

While looking at M&p,s mag they state the bolt spacing of the mirrors to be the same as the R1 I wonder if these could be a direct replace for the honda ones? :)

Take the mirrors off when fitting the screen, makes life easier.

R6 mirrors are meant to fit the storm so the R1 ones may fit as well.

I also tried them on mine (R1 mirrors) but as standard I didn't get on with them, as they are closer to you than than the standard storm ones. It may have just been a personal thing, but I definitely did not gel with them. Some on here have modified the R1 mirrors so they are in a similar position as the standard Storm ones, but obviously sticking out further, had I tried that it may have been a different story.

If you do decide to try the R1's you need the earlier model items iirc :!:
