Front Indicators

Post by Simon 2 »

I have spent the best part of the last 2 weeks (i'm embarrassed to admit) trying to fit some 'bikeit' fairing indicators to the front of my VTR and have had an absolute nightmare, blowing numerous fuses not to mention my Meta alarm/immobiliser.
The place where I got them from suggested that I replace the bulbs in the new indicators with 23w items to match the rear stock ones but it still continues to blow the indicator fuse immediately. I've tried switching the cables round, as there was no wiring instructions, but no difference.
I know you guys have fitted these things or similar items - any recommendations/suggestions greatly received.

If it blows a fuse straight away then there is a short somewhere in the wiring. Check it through carefully with a multimeter!

PS Might find this is better in the workshop section of the site.
