Hi guys and girls.
I have a 98 Storm, which was fitted with standard cans and a K&N filter when I purchased it, it ran fine I think, (first storm) I changed the cans to a set of Blueflame Twinports no baffles, (loud????) anyway this is where the issue's started after running it for as while it seemed to be popping, now I know this is a common occurrence on twins or so I have been told, now it running rough, backfiring when I start it sometime's, do my question is=
A. Do I put it back to stock cans and not bother(not really my ideal scenario)
B. Stick some High Level Mig cans on instead, then see how it runs, may still need dynojet kit I assume, I had intended to get some high rise pipes for the blueflames anyway.
C. Stick with the bf's and get it dynojetted.
Also is it possible to fit the dynojet kit myself with stock settings and see how it runs then dyno it or is it best just to leave the whole job to a dyno place.
Quotes so far=
JS Racing = Dyno jet kit fitted and adjusted etc etc £290 to £300
Tim Blakemore = Dyno jet kit fitted and adjusted etc etc £250
Dynojet kit £82.50 then dyno runs £40 at JS, £30 at Tim's. I could then balance the carbs etc etc.

If you are fairly competent with teh screwdrivers you can do it yourself
I'd definitely recommend getting an aftermarket filter (read this thread for more info) and jetting to suit
Might be worth speaking to Roger at Revolution nicely to see if he's got a setting he can recommend

It's really up to you which option you go for.
As the bike is at the moment you'll probably find it'll run better if you remove the K&N filter and fit a standard Honda filter with the standard jetting
Also if you have any air leaks at any of the joints after fitting the Blue flame cans, that will make the popping worse.
