I've had two sets of tyres doen at the Leicester national auto tyres lot. They put the bike up on stands, did me a pair of Dunlop Sportsmax Qualifers and sorted out a seized front splindle (though I'm going to get a new one anyway). Good bunch of lads there (fireblade and CBR6 riders). It was a ...

Ah so thats what that "nipple that doesn't officially exist" is. :D Well after pouring 90% of a fuel can into the tank (the other half niceley cleaned up the dirt of the top of the tank and gave me an excuse to get the super resin polish out again), I gave it a run this morning. Coughed and ...

Wow I've discovered that if you open that silver disk on top of the fuel tank and pour some petrol in, it makes the engine work, D'oh :D Still I was lucky in some ways as that meant I managed to get home from a 20 mile ride with just enough petrol to make it to the house. I'm not sure at what current I havn't run a test on that yet. Presumably with the voltage drop it should be insufficient.

I think a nice man from the dealers is going to turn up in a van and wheel it away for some work. Hopefully this time it will return good.

I've had a new battery, swapped out the reg/rect stator and CDI/ECU (?) unit. It didn't seem to make a difference, but its going back to the dealer on Sat so I'll mention that you had.

Weird Recharging problem

Hello, I've got a right problem with my storm. Its a 2nd hand one with 28K miles on it. It also has a powder coated frame. When testing the recharge, with lights off, I get the proper voltage readings across the battery rising to 14.5v. As soom as I put the lights on (I 'll check but it may even be ...
