Re: There's more Anti-bikers in hot weather.

He was doing 30 mph in a 70mph zone so yes it was necessary. Also I've checked it with the police and broken chevron the same rules as broken white lines (just wider) so yes you can overtake if it's within the speed limit. I work alongside a police superintendent all day every day so easy to ask thi...

There's more Anti-bikers in hot weather.

Going down a dual-carriageway today as I do everyday to work and was behind a slow moving sherp van. It's one lane and between that and the opposite lane is broken chevrons (broken means you can cross them to overtake...I've checked) and as there was no traffic going the opposite way I began to over...

Re: Tyre traction in this hot weather

Suspension ok. Not checked tyre pressure yet. I know the racing is a very different world but I've noticed them guys get traction slip on the rear when it's hot.

Tyre traction in this hot weather

Noticed my rear tyre sliding a bit on tight corners on these hot days. I guess it's the tyres melting. I'm on Pirelli's. Anyone else noticed slippery traction in this hot weather?

Re: Trail Braking

Sometimes I do what's called 'comfort braking' which is lightly using the back brake when filtering etc which steadys the bike at slow speeds. Another and very important use of the back brake which hasn't been mentioned yet is if you get a blow out in your front tyre when it's important to use the b...

2 front wheels. Are they trikes or bikes?

Saw one of those bikes today with 2 front wheels. The ones that look like a bike but have 2 front wheels side by side. They lean like a bike and can almost filter as good as a bike, but technically are they trikes or bikes? They do have 3 wheels although the front wheels are almost like one double w...

Re: Anyone done a track day on a Storm?

Ok, got my knee down to the floor today but the storm was deffo lots lower than when I do it on my Kwak ZX9 and very much felt that I was doing it for the sake of it and that there was no advantage gained by doing it. It also felt very close to the edge. Don't think I'll do it again on the storm.
